Submissions.
When you submit your book you will also need to send a synopsis. The is the description you would find on the back of an ordinary paper book that gives an outline of the story. Make this as interesting and as appealing as possible. It is this that will help sell your book. You also need to include an extract. If you were in a book store and considering buying a book you would naturally want to scan a few pages first. E book readers expect no less. I know that writing a synopsis and deciding which part of your book to chose as an extract is very difficult as there will be so many good parts that it will be almost impossible to decide which to send. However, see this as a way of developing your creative skills and always remember that a good synopsis and extract will turn a browser into a buyer.
After the book has been sent I'm afraid you will need to wait until it is reviewed before it appears on the site. How long this takes will depend on how many books are being reviewed at that particular time but it will be done as soon as possible. Remember if you sent it to a literary agent it could take months before it was reviewed, if at all! You can speed up the process by making your book as good and free from mistakes as possible. Ask yourself if each sentence makes sense and does every point follow on logically from the previous point. Make sure your sentences are not too long and not too short. If they are too long the reader will lose track of what you are saying. If they are too short it will sound like a shopping list.
While you are waiting for the book to be reviewed you can maintain your interest by deciding how you are going to promote it. Remember, no matter how good your book is if nobody knows it is there it will not sell one copy. I will in due course be contacting you with various ideas on how to promote your book, but in the meantime try and think of some yourself. Aim to make yourself a well known celebrity in your area. You never know where it could lead!
You can submit your book for review via the contact page.
For all books published on this web site we will be paying 50% royalties on the last day of each month.
